Hydrogen is too valuable to use as a combustible

Car Maniacs: Toyota CEO: This New Engine Will Destroy The Entire EV Industry! at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTawvzH0MQ4

The value of hydrogen in the chemical industry is so great that it does not make sense to use hydrogen as a fuel, unless you make if from solar or nuclear. The infrastructure is expensive, and it is not a particularly high energy density fuel. EV owners spend dearly for creating their own power distribution system. Even more so hydrogen because it is a gas. You can do what you want, evolution does not care if tens of millions die, or live in poverty, or make stupid mistakes. the species will likely survive. As a technical challenge, hydrogen is not complicated. But if you model the complete impact on society, it won’t add up. If the people who spend time learning hydrogen would spend time helping educate every one in the world, the invested time and resources would pay back many times. There are much more energy dense atomic fuels. If you want a challenge go out into space, get out of the solar system, and that means spending the time and effort to clean up the mess related to nuclear and atomic data on the Internet. And fulfill some dreams that are older than most people alive today. Car Maniacs might be well named.  Richard Collins, The Internet Foundation
