Fall of Civilizations should be Changes of Civilizations – video comment

I would call it “Changes in Civilizations” and give a global context. Heard and saw many things I will try to remember. I especially appreciate the narrative on global climate change and sea level rise as a historical force. It made me wonder if the land can be reclaimed from salt. If there is a sustainable process for turning desert to living land.

Thank you.  Keep up the great work! But try to integrate into a global model that everyone can use.

By focusing only on failure and decay, you missed a wonderful opportunity to study what works toward, and what works against, sustainable cultures and civilizations. You ended up doing what you said you did not want to do – a litany of characters, dates, and conflicts. Looking under a lamp post, or only working from the easy things that are recorded by others, are pretty much the same thing. You have such skills and a good group to support you. You should try harder to integrate and make useful tools. Not only narratives and eye candy. These word and cinema pictures could be quantitative simulations, working toward a truly quantitative and calibrated model of history and the future.
