You need to stop listening to the people around you.

They are making you look at too small pieces and narrow specialties. These notions are not wrong, but they have a global context and you are not making anything fundamentally new. These are easy digital and quantum functions. Copying the brain is like sketching paintings by old masters. Take a radical step and get away from the easy path you have been taking. Look at new places and something you have never tried before. Stop mimicking and try something original. Consider that your advisors might be completely wrong in their priorities and choices about what is important to do in the world. In life.

You only get about 100 years of life, so don’t waste it only doing what you are told, on things other people choose. Use those things and make a cluster of independent 24/7 living entities that can explore, gather, verify, memorize, adapt. And, share everything they find with all humans and all AIs. And, do it in a few weeks. Not on someone else’s schedule looking for retirement or their own glory.
