My Comment:

It is possible to store sequence, shape and network data at atomic scale, using inorganics and atoms – which are smaller. I appreciate your humor. But using naturally evolved rather large blobs of odd shapes is harder than connecting and reading sequence data from hetero-atomic chains.

I have been encouraging SEMI groups to move now to picometer scale and stop hesitating. Much of inorganic chemistry is “self-assembly from standard parts”.  Monitoring and controlling the streams for permanent records is possible now. The “monitoring” is just part of reading and error correction. It has benefits for “quantum computers” because the error corrected quantum computers can be digitally synthesized and operate 10^6 times faster.
