Effectively eternal species colonizing galaxies

My Comment: Effectively eternal species colonizing galaxies

Once an evolved species can make AIs to store knowledge and act, those entities are effectively eternal and can “live” long enough to colonize galactic and larger regions. So, most galaxies might each have their own civilizations held together by systems, but populated by natural species as well. I suggested to the Nancy Roman telescope steering group to spend time looking for clues. But arrays of desktop and portable three axis, time of flight gravimeters can scan and monitor for high frequency gravitational signals. I asked Joe Weber what he intended for his devices, and he said, without hesitation, to make 3D gravitational communication and sensing networks.

I think you are not too far off, but unless eternal species are modifying things at scales large enough to detect, or they deliberately try to communicate, not enough of our frail human lifetimes to look. Especially when there are 8.2 Billion humans competing and collaborating.

( 800000 km/hour in meters per second ) is 2.22E5 meters/second. C/1349.06606. You can ask Google search for (speed of light divided by 800000 km/hour) and it will do it correctly today. ( 100000 light years at 800000 km/hour) in years it gets wrong.

But 100,000 light years takes 100,000 years at the speed of light, so at 1/1350 of the speed of light takes 1350*1E5 years or 135 Million years. An eternal civilization can live that long or longer.
