There are about 8.1 Billion humans now, and 2 Billion from 4-24 that I call “first time learners”. About 5 Billion using the Internet. 800 Million over 65. And the pace keeps increasing.

Humans memorizing things is not sustainable. Large companies and global systems cannot depend on humans – unless those humans are using databases (lossless indexes) and LLMs (statistical indexes). The 99 out of 100 humans who co not get jobs are cheap. The 1 who gets a job is getting an average wage. Because the industries are using old methods and out of date planning. The schools are training and educating on old requirements, past requirements, not future requirements. Most students are letting others tell them what is possible and desirable. They are not, themselves, looking at what will be.

None of the AIs now are certified in basics that any human can learn. The LLM costs are high and the AIs cannot apply many queries that a human can. Humans are much smarter and cheaper than AIs, but humans are not better than AIs unless humans work together, share their knowledge, and plan. The AIs all fail now because the people making them have no real world skills. Run a computer or write code does not make real world solutions that help humans.

I started designing and programming computers and working with random neural nets, machine learning, and encryption in 1966. 58 years now I have worked 80 hours a week or more. I cannot be your big brother, I am old enough to be grandfather to some.

I am worried about the world. I worked in international development and long range planning for all countries. The last 26 years, the Internet’s place in the future of the human species.

Please think about this: If 99 people do not get a computer job or mathematics job or some other — because those jobs no longer exist – what are they doing with their extra time, while they are not working? Are they helping each other, are they trying to create the jobs and industries of the future? Not let others do that, but make their own futures?

In order to have “solar system colonization” many problems have to be solved. The heliospheric economy will have to be 10,000 times larger than the current $100 Trillion each year. Rather than GigaWatts we will need PetaWatts or ExaWatts or more. Rather than chemical fuels, we will need nuclear and atomic fuels. Rather than chemical propulsion we will need field propulsion. Rather than physical travel, we will need global and heliospheric data and knowledge networks. The brick and mortar schools and using humans to memorize things – the computers will do that better one day.  Moon and Mars, orbiting and interplanetary living spaces need newer better ways to make foods and process waste, to manufacture things, to reprocess materials and “3D print” what is needed.

If 10 Million people in India are paid a living wage to be human AIs, and to solve large problems, to search and gather knowledge, store and share it, they can at least survive. If they are learning global and heliospheric skills, some will create new industries. They can create new things. Such groups in all countries can learn by doing, not narrow research to push up others, but to enrich the human species, and to help the group itself.

You and 8.1 Billion others are smart and learning focus, but you are not building sustainable systems for yourselves, your families, your global and heliospheric human species. Do you have an insurance pool to support brothers and sisters who are out of work temporarily?  Do you buy as a group? Are you frugal and save maximum amount? So you share what you have with others. Do you give your time freely to help others? Do you try to learn difficult things, make them simple, and share with others? Are your families secure and in good health?  Do you buy things that are frivolous or showy, when you should save?  Are you living in a way that you cannot even afford to have children?
