The velocity and acceleration and properties of each pixel can be estimated and used to project the history backwards and forwards in time. Not generic evolutions, but very specific to time specific recorded data. Over larger regions, the back and forward projections will constrain the shape. If all groups share in common, open, verifiable, lossless, traceable formats, then it will be ONE dataset open to all, not many fragments and guesses. Stop talking about a model of the universe, make it – so that it reflects the contributions and is traceable of all – down to the properties of each pixel, each device, each group, and “store all the errors losslessly” for later generations.
