Juan Álvaro Gallego @JAlGallego Very cool! Apparently, ADHD could potentially be evolutionarily advantagous for gatherer peoples…

Congrats to the authors!

Excited to see this out in the wild! https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rspb.2022.2584 Here, we (myself, Vera Ludwig, Felipe Parodi, Elizabeth Brannon, @cognoman5, and @MichaelLouisPl1) found ADHD self-report symptoms predict better foraging behavior. (1/7)

Juan, @DLBarack,

Should also be useful for targeted exploration of Internet, knowledge base, sensor data landscapes, large data stores for any topic. You might want to add sensors to track attention and warn for common pathologies, or to maximize sustainable long term levels of the joy of discovery.  The “ah ha” moments can be recorded and re-queried, or restarted.  Same for replay of any memories or experiences.  Including memories from others. Optimal gathering can be taught.  Richard Collins, The Internet Foundation

Use to explore Internet, knowledge, sensor, memory landscapes for any topic. Record and monitor attention, dangers. Sustain levels of joy of discovery. Monitor “ah ha” moments for re-query or replay, including memories or experiences – including from others.

Optimal gathering can be taught, and machine assisted using high bandwidth sensors and signal arrays. Will enable ultra high bandwidth machine interface and human memory recording and playback. It should be extremely pleasant and possibly addictive. Would need a new word to describe it.  Probably a new industry.
