Les’ Lab: Bayer filter removal on a Pi Camera: Laser stripping, CFA removal, debayering, and UV conversion

I wonder if there are MIPI cameras with no bayer layer. Monochrome MIPI for Raspberry pi and other MIPI able processors.

Indeed there are some. I only need a few and cheaper and less time to buy them than strip a cheap bayered camera. You did great work, but I cannot build the things you did, nor have time to write more software. I cannot post links here but just search ( “monochrome” “MIPI” ) I see ArduCam monochrome Omnivision OV9281 is 1280×800. I guess if you are serious about spectroscopy, then you cannot wait for people to realize the value of monochrome (B&W). Do I want to spend time on image data, or data about imaging? I want to see gravity and heat, not sales and technical specs.

Cool stripper, thanks for sharing that it works.
