Why did the Google molecular weight of methane come out as 20.067?

Hello, I was working on atmospheric composition and asked google methane pubchem molecular weight It came up with 20.067 which traces to https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/2H4_Methane Now I am tired, but carbon is 12.011 and hydrogen is 1.008*4, so the total should be closer to 16.011 Is this page supposed to be deuterated?  12.011 + 2*4.0282035557 = 20.067407

Broken Links on PCMDI.LLNL.gov – Global Climate Change Models

Karl, Here are some notes on broken links and bad practices.  I put notes on my search for climate models.  I do these rough searches to get started on a complete review of a topic group on the Internet.  Picking a hard enough problem at global scale is the only way to stay organized and

Comments on a video tour of Cern’s Atlas facility

360° tour: ATLAS Experiment – Inside CERN’s largest detector! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On1WbLKP8DA Dear Atlas at Cern: There are two purposes for a video like this. One is to simulate what physical visitors do and see if they ever have a chance to visit. You show the parking lot, door, elevator, tunnels, and things. You show things from

Comment on Virtual Family Trees for Ancestry and the Internet

Even though it might seem extra work, I might log into another account, but rather than make me the manager, I leave them as owner and manager, and invite myself as a DNA collaborator, and invite myself to their tree as Editor. Life is long and the people you help should have some measure of

I am trying to get them all to have standards for archiving and sharing, standards

Image handling on the Internet, Pixels around a star

Thanks for the links. I spent the last few days going over the NexGen Level 3 Weather radar system. I downloaded many example datasets and tried to review and organize all the parts of it. Looking to see how to integrated radar, satellite, SDR (electromagnetic networks of many sorts), GPS and other sensor networks and

Comment on how to copy trees and find Birth Parents using Ancestry DNA

I have used Family Tree Maker which syncs to Ancestry. You download the trees to FTM and merge them, and then upload to a new tree. The merging is tedious but better than “save to tree” bit by bit. It is the ONLY method I found that preserves the records as records so that all

Comment to a private group on Facebook about DNA genealogy

This group has grown to over 100,000 members. I see some wonderful advice that should probably be in a globally accessible form. This is a “private” group, so nothing posted here is seen or indexed and available except to people who join. I have helped more than a hundred people with finding their birth parents,
