But your &#8220;standard model&#8221; is not accessible to people on the outside, so your improvements are not getting to anyone but insiders. I can guess at most of what you are not saying or sharing, but it is hard to recreate hundreds of little things from first principles, every time your group says something.<\/p>\n<div data-rbd-draggable-context-id=\"7\" data-rbd-draggable-id=\"dod9e\">\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"9os42\" data-offset-key=\"dod9e-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"dod9e-0-0\">\n<p><span data-offset-key=\"dod9e-0-0\">You might think it is open and &#8220;everyone can see&#8221; but it is not, when taken as a whole. A &#8220;standard model&#8221; that only a few ten thousand or a few hundred thousand can see completely is not really an open standard, an open tool for all. And I think you all are missing a few things that might make a difference, so it does matter, maybe a lot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>There are about 5.4 Billion using the Internet and another 2.8 Billion who are mostly left out.\u00a0 The CERN network of sites is not sharing properly, or at all, with the rest of the world.\u00a0 Perhaps you all are not aware of that. I hope it is not because &#8220;we do not care&#8221; or are doing it deliberately.<\/p>\n<div data-rbd-draggable-context-id=\"7\" data-rbd-draggable-id=\"4ndb7\">\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"9os42\" data-offset-key=\"4ndb7-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"4ndb7-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"4ndb7-0-0\">If that attitude of &#8220;everyone knows&#8221; or &#8220;those kinds of people do not matter&#8221; pervades an organization, then critical issues and opportunities are likely being missed. When &#8220;seeing the whole&#8221; is critical, then leaving out little things can matter a lot. I know from reviewing the Internet every day the last 26 years, for things that groups like CERN cannot solve, the answer is literally not in the internal groups. It has to come from outside.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-rbd-draggable-context-id=\"7\" data-rbd-draggable-id=\"49sm7\">\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"9os42\" data-offset-key=\"49sm7-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"49sm7-0-0\">\n<p><span data-offset-key=\"49sm7-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"49sm7-0-0\">That movie &#8220;Hidden Figures&#8221; seems to point out the issues well. Discrimination and manipulation for personal gain are bad things when critical issues affecting the future, and human lives, are on the line.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The direct links are best. You should not go through social media sites, unless you also provide backups.\u00a0 Global open links would be better. Most groups never check user whole experiences. Your sharing depends on tiny little things at Arxiv and on the Internet, that often break because your group is not looking at the whole. And where you all say &#8220;we look at the whole&#8221;, then do not share the whole, that breaks things too.<\/p>\n<div data-rbd-draggable-context-id=\"7\" data-rbd-draggable-id=\"d6s2h\">\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"9os42\" data-offset-key=\"d6s2h-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"d6s2h-0-0\">\n<p><span data-offset-key=\"d6s2h-0-0\">Thank you for sharing this, I was looking for this information yesterday, but it is not easily searchable from the general Internet, since it is written for insiders. Gravity is the gradient, it is not the potential itself. Its energy density is not weak or irrelevant.
